Contemporary art space in renovated Calliste church offering exhibitions, classes, events, and life drawing sessions since 2002.
Located in a renovated church in Calliste, this contemporary art space serves as Grenada's premier destination for visual arts and cultural events. An extension of Susan Mains Gallery, which has represented local artists since 2002, the venue hosts the prestigious Grenada Contemporary Exhibit and serves as headquarters for Grenada's official participation in the Venice Biennale. The space offers diverse programming including Art School Greenz classes taught by professional artists, uninstructed life drawing sessions every other Thursday evening, art talks, and cultural events. Under the guidance of Susan Mains, D.Ed, BEM and Asher Mains, MFA, who bring over 50 years of combined experience in studio art practice and curation, the venue provides both established and emerging artists with exhibition opportunities. The facility also functions as artist Asher Mains' residence and workplace. Currently operating by appointment Wednesday through Saturday from 10am to 5pm, this unique cultural hub combines contemporary art exhibition with hands-on learning experiences, making it an essential destination for art enthusiasts and cultural visitors to Grenada.
