Carriacou Animal Hospital

This volunteer-run charity veterinary clinic serves Carriacou and the Grenadines, providing essential animal healthcare services with compassion and community focus. The facility offers routine veterinary care, preventative treatments, spay and neuter programs, pet owner education, and youth outreach initiatives designed to improve animal welfare across the island. Staffed by dedicated, fully qualified veterinarians and veterinary nurses, the clinic ensures affordable and accessible care for all pets, regardless of their owners' financial circumstances. After Hurricane Beryl devastated their original facility, the team demonstrated remarkable resilience by continuing operations through a mobile clinic and temporary surgery space while working toward building a hurricane-resistant permanent hospital. The clinic has expanded its reach through CarriaVet, an innovative pilot program offering online veterinary consultations for boaters, cruisers, and pet owners on nearby islands. All proceeds from these virtual consultations support the hospital rebuilding efforts. This unique combination of on-island veterinary services, community education programs, and remote consultation capabilities makes them an invaluable resource for animal care throughout the Grenadines, embodying their motto of "Compassion. Community. Care."
